This policy covers hoopsimulator.com ("HoopSim", "we"). It explains what information is processed when you use the site and the choices you have.
Your game saves stay on your device
The games save your progress (careers, franchises, lottery settings, trades) in your own browser using local storage. That data is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data deletes it. The cookie policy lists every item.
No accounts
You don't need an account and we don't ask for your name, email or any personal details to play.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which games get played. It sets first-party cookies and receives information such as pages viewed, approximate location (country or city, from your IP address, which Google does not store for GA4), device and browser type and how you arrived. We use it in aggregate only, we don't use it for advertising, and Google signals and ad personalisation are off. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off until you accept them in the banner. Google's own practices: policies.google.com/privacy. You can also opt out everywhere with Google's opt-out add-on.
Advertising
There is no advertising on the site today. If we add it, this policy will name the service and how to opt out before it is switched on.
Server logs
Our web server and our network provider (Cloudflare) keep standard request logs, including IP address, time, page requested and browser type, to keep the site running and secure. They are kept for a short period and are not used to identify you.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California law) you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you and to object to its processing. Since we hold almost nothing that identifies you, the simplest controls are yours: decline or change your cookie choice with the cookie settings, and clear your browser data to delete saves. For anything else, email [email protected].
Children
The site is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
