HoopSim is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to the National Basketball Association, any of its teams, the players' association or any player. NBA and team names are trademarks of their owners, used here only to identify real teams and players. We don't use league or team logos, official fonts or uniforms; teams appear as text marks in our own colours.

Simulations are entertainment

Scores, box scores, standings, awards, draft results, trade grades and win probabilities are generated by our model for fun. They are not predictions of real games and are not betting advice. Please don't wager on them.

Ratings are opinions

Player tiers are our own opinions, derived from public statistics. They are not official ratings and say nothing about any player beyond a basketball game.

Data may be wrong

Rosters, statistics and contracts come from public sources (mainly Wikipedia) and can be incomplete or out of date. Some contract figures are estimates and are labeled. Corrections are welcome.

Fictional players

The career and GM modes create fictional prospects and future draft picks. Any resemblance to real people is coincidental.
